Anjum Choudhary is an internationally acknowledged, published author brought up in Dubai, nurturing her Indian roots and performing poetry across Europe and the Middle East. Currently residing in and sharing her words from the United States, her writing is raw and untouched, exploring all corners of the human soul with all its richness, depth, and emotions. She believes everyone is partially made up of pixie dust, for we all need a little of that to survive the falls. A romantic tea lover by day and selenophile by night, Anjum refers to her writing as her addiction, essence, and existence.
Although written eight years apart, both her books—Souled Out and The Silent Hummingbird—take her readers through a journey of life, impeccably merging the past, present, and future with words tailored to their being. Her poetry is considered highly relatable and easy to fall in love with because of both its simplicity and complexity of human emotions.
Anjum’s words are profound, offering a glimpse into the universal emotions that connect us all, whether love, loss, healing, or self-discovery. Her poems reflect the experiences that shape us, making it easy for her readers to find a piece of themselves in the pages. Writing about all the highs and lows of life – the joy of love, the ache of heartbreaks, the weight of grief, and the power of self-love and spirituality — her work does not shy away from going into the deep, the difficult or the messy parts of existence. Her poems are crafted with a vulnerability that invites you to feel, reflect, and find solace.
If you have read her work, Anjum is grateful for you being a part of her connection and discovery of survival and living. She hopes you find something in her words that resonates with you and feels like it was written just for you- for we are all in this together.
